High Desert Section
Hello, FFA members! My name is Alexa Walkovitz, and I am so excited to serve all the wonderful members of Southern Region FFA. Thank you, Southern Region FFA members, for giving me this opportunity to lead the region alongside six other intelligent and excited leaders. This year, I hope to meet all of the terrific FFA members who work hard every day to make the world a better place. I originally come from Los Angeles, and I moved to Lucerne Valley in 8th grade. Since I joined the FFA program and began Agricultural Education, I have learned so much about Agriculture and Leadership. This year, I wish to reach out to all FFA members and show them that AG Education is a place for everyone regardless of their background. I want to connect to the members and discover the Future of Agriculture in everybody, just as FFA has helped me discover it within myself. I am from the Lucerne Valley FFA chapter in the High Desert where I serve as the Reporter, and I attend Lucerne Valley High School. I am involved in ASB and my school’s Strings Orchestra. I enjoy raising market sheep to show at the county fair, and competing in all kinds of Public Speaking CDEs. In the future, I plan to attend a University and Study Photojournalism and Political Science. My dream job would be working in Politics. One day, I would like to become the first African-American, and female President of the United States. Southern Region FFA, I am so proud to be a part of an organization and region that are like a family to me.
